About Hannah

The person you'll be working with

As the Founder and Director of Next Door Counselling & Consultation, Hannah provides evidence-informed, person-centred therapy grounded in strengths-based, trauma-informed and attachment-informed practice. She works collaboratively with clients to understand not only the challenges they are facing, but also the strengths, values and life experiences that can support healing and meaningful change.

Hannah draws on a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Narrative Therapy and Rogerian counselling. She believes there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy and tailors each session to the unique needs, goals and circumstances of the individual.

With particular expertise in grief and loss, trauma recovery, domestic and narcissistic abuse, dementia support, cognitive change and major life transitions, Hannah is known for creating a calm, compassionate space where people feel genuinely heard, understood and empowered. Her approach combines clinical expertise with warmth, curiosity and practical strategies that help people build resilience, reconnect with their strengths and move towards the life they want to live.

Alongside her clinical work, Hannah provides professional supervision to Social Workers across Australia and regularly presents at conferences and professional development events on topics including dementia, grief, trauma, person-centred practice and the role of Social Work in mental health care.

Hannah believes that meaningful change begins with feeling safe, understood and accepted. Through genuine connection, compassionate curiosity and evidence-based practice, she helps people make sense of their experiences, navigate life's challenges and discover that they are often more capable than they realise.

Hannah is a mum and loves nothing more than getting out in her veggie garden, snuggling on the couch with her dog and finding a coffee in a cosy café.
